2022 Venie Holmgren Environmental Poetry Prize winner

Thank you to all the poets who took the time to compose their heartfelt and mindfelt reflections. We received nearly 300 entries to the Venie Prize this year.

This year the two judges were Georgina Woods and Joel Davison. As Georgina said after reading the poems, ‘It was really lovely reading so many poems from people trying to express a range of feelings for their environment.’

A huge thank you to the judges for selecting the winning poem for this year’s Prize, as well as four highly commended poems. Without further ado….
